(THE GOSPEL OF JOHN)
Legendary actor and Oscar winner Michael Caine takes us back to London in the sixties, a time of sweeping and significant change for the English capital. Using archive footage and featuring personal contributions from various celebrities, including members of The Beatles, model Twiggy, singer Marianne Faithfull, The Rolling Stones, and more, MY GENERATION documents how the birth of pop culture knocked down the social barriers and traditions that were prevalent at this time in the arts world.

The made for television quality of this production can be overlooked for those of you who are guaranteed to receive your yearned-for dose of nostalgia by watching this. The generous amount of archive footage shared and retrospective chronicle of the burst of life, colour and fashion through all forms of art during dull London times made me wish I was living my youth in that era! Much of what is seen in MY GENERATION is accompanied by a soundtrack featuring songs by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Kinks. Michael Caine engagingly presents all that MY GENERATION has to document with honesty, behind-the-scenes insight and a flare of humour. His genuine personality is transparent and is instantly embraced. Personally, I was most attentive when gaining further insight in regards to the class system and its predetermined outcomes, and to hear of the outcry to certain fashion choices and music styles that have always been very mainstream in my world.
