In this story within a story, I See You revolves around the disappearance of a young boy and the detective tasked with solving the crime. At the same time that the boy is missing, strange, unexplained things start happening at the detectives home. This is a twisting, turning thriller/horror with seemingly supernatural undertones, but it isn’t necessarily what it seems.

This was a surprisingly well executed film for a ‘straight to rental’ release. I’ve got to admit that the only reason I gave it a chance was because of Helen Hunt (that woman is in nowhere near as many films as an Oscar winner should be), but I’m so glad I did. Here she plays the detectives wife who is trying desperately to win back the love and trust of her family following a recent infidelity.

This is a great film if you’re a fan of thrillers that keep you guessing and is certainly worth the rental price if you’ve run out of content to stream in isolation.
I See You is available to rent on Google Play now.
